Meet the Candidates: 2026 Citrus County BOCC Primary Election
Candidate interviews and the full Primary Candidate Forum, presented by the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs Committee.
This year, the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs Committee introduced a new format ahead of our 2026 Citrus County BOCC election: one-on-one candidate introduction videos released in advance of the Primary Candidate Forum luncheon, giving candidates the opportunity to share their backgrounds and priorities with the broader community.
On July 10, 2026, the Chamber hosted the BOCC Primary Candidate Forum, where participating candidates were asked questions developed directly from our annual Temperature Check, a survey of all Chamber members identifying the issues most important to Citrus County's business community.
All current BOCC candidates were invited to participate in both the introduction videos and the forum. County Commission District 2 incumbent candidate Diana Finegan and District 4 candidate Holli Herndon declined to attend the forum. County Commission District 2 incumbent candidate Diana Finegan and District 4 candidate Jennifer Holly Grogan declined to attend the introduction videos.

The 2026 Florida Primary Election is August 18, 2026. Citrus County voters can find information on voter registration, early voting dates and locations, and polling places at the Citrus County Supervisor of Elections website.
