Florida Manatee Festival |
The Florida Manatee Festival returns January 16th and 17th, 2021. Come join the celebration in downtown Crystal River as we honor our most famous resident!
Now in our 34th year, the Florida Manatee Festival is presented by the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce. Celebrating with food, music, entertainment and frivolity for residents and visitors alike.
Over 20,000 people each year flock to Historic Downtown Crystal River, making The Florida Manatee Festival consistently chosen one of the Best of the Best Festivals by the readers of the Citrus County Chronicle.
For the past 8 years festival goers have boarded free bus tours to Three Sisters Springs. The tours run continuously during the festival weekend, conducted in cooperation with the City of Crystal River and the Friends of the Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, allowing visitors to see manatees in their natural settings. For a nominal charge, Manatee Boat Tours are available from the City Pier at the end of Third Street for a trip into Kings Bay and other favorite manatee hangouts.
Back on land, the sound of music fills the air with live entertainment on three different stages, while visitors enjoy the offerings of fine arts and craft artisans. Two food courts serve up a wide menu of delights; from fresh seafood to authentic, local BBQ and everything in between. Plus, Food Truck Alley returns, featuring a broad
array of international cuisine.
The Florida Manatee Festival also serves as a showcase for non-profit organizations and local commercial businesses that serve as the foundation of our community.
